            Today I want to discuss something that I have been hearing about more and more everyday. Lawsuits, they are a growing practice in today’s society. It seems like everyone is out to get one another in order to get money. Money brings people to do crazy things. I have known three people, friends and family, who have and/or are dealing with lawsuits for reasons that are completely blown out of proportion. In an article in the Insurance Journal, Lisa A. Rickard, president of the U.S. Chamber Institute for Legal Reform said, "California needs more jobs, not more lawsuits. With one of the highest unemployment rates in the country, California's legal climate is discouraging new businesses and new jobs at a time when the state needs them most." It seems like people are willing to go through the courts and sue instead of work to make their own money. Really makes you think about people’s values, huh? The point of this article is just to bring to everyone’s attention the issue of lawsuits.
