Dog Adoption and Rescue Group (D.A.W.G)

The mission of DAWG

DAWG provides a safe and loving environment for dogs who are waiting for permanent adoption. The primary goal of this organization is to reduce the rate of euthanasia in the county shelters by providing the medical care and training many dogs need for a second chance at life. Since DAWG’s inception in 1991, we have worked hard to bring out the best in our dogs, improving their quality of life during their stay at the shelter, and placing healthy, well-behaved dogs back into the community. Through the hard work, dedication, and generosity of wonderful volunteers and community members DAWG has grown from literally nothing, to an amazing facility that has placed over 2000 dogs into forever homes over the past ten years. Without DAWG, hundreds, even thousands, of adoptable dogs would have died unnecessarily.
