John E. Peakes Jr. is the second generation in this insurance business and is the current Chairman of the Board. John started working at the agency in 1979 while still attending high school in Ojai, California. He took over the agency from his dad, John E. Peakes Sr., in 2001. He is a Certified Insurance Counselor. Working hard to own and run a top insurance agency is hard work, but it hasn’t stopped him from helping his community. John was a member of the Ventura County Search and Rescue team for 20 years, recently retiring from the crew to spend more time with his two grand kids, John E Peakes IV and Fletcher Peakes. John also loves spending time with his wonderful and beautiful wife, Laura, and his two boys, John and Chad. Some of his favorite activities are hiking and skiing, but his family and clients always come first.
Chad started with John E. Peakes Insurance Agency in 2005 at the Ventura Office. But don’t worry, you can find him at the Lancaster location at least once a week too. He is the third generation at the agency following in his grandpa, John E. Peakes Sr., and father, John E. Peakes Jr, footsteps. Chad is licensed in Property and Casualty Insurance as well as Life Insurance. In 2014 he moved from the personal lines department to begin the commercial lines department for the agency. He enjoys snowboarding, hiking, traveling and spending time with his wife, Edyn, and their 1 and a half year old son, Fletcher.
Edyn started working with John E. Peakes Insurance Agency as the official blogger, but upon graduating from San Francisco State University in May 2011 with a Communications degree, was moved to the Marketing Manager. In 2015 she obtained her Property and Casualty Insurance license and began doing sales for the agency along with marketing. Edyn enjoys snowboarding, running, writing, and most of all, spending time with her husband and son.
I was looking to pursue a career in Business Administration, but in 1994 got hired as a file clerk for my father’s insurance agent while still attending college, so I was kind of thrown into this industry. But the good thing is I loved it, so I never looked back. I joined “Team Peakes” in 2009 and love the dynamics of the agency & staff; we are a great extended family. Being deemed the “Office Mom” sets the tone for how I like to care for my clients and treat them like family. Helping people has always been something I enjoy and I’m always looking to answer my clients questions and take care of their insurance. Being married, a mother of three great kids and helping take care of our guinea pig and white German Shepard who really does not understand he is a big dog and wants to be indoors all day and has a habit of scolding us every time he is left alone, I always have something to keep me busy. I love cooking and baking for my family as well my extended work family; tamales, cakes and burritos are some of the favorites.
Joey, as we call him here at the office, is our office Administrative Assistant. He continues to learn more everyday about the insurance industry and plans to be a part of the Peakes Insurance team for many more years to come. Outside of work Joey loves watching movies, listening to music, spending time with his niece as well as being outdoors running or hiking. He also enjoys taking the beautiful drive down the Pacific Coast Highway to Venice and Los Angeles.
Patty joined the John E. Peakes team in 2013 and brings with her over 17 years in the insurance industry as a Commercial Accounts Manager. Patty handles all facets of policy services for a large variety of commercial accounts including contractors, restaurants, building owners and offices. “I have found that, while pricing is important, my relationships with my clients are paramount. After a policy is issued, it is my duty to be there for my clients as an advocate”. She is happy to be part of a successful and growing agency and is dedicated to building long term relationships of trust with her clients. When away from the office Patty enjoys taking walks on the beach with her family, movies and outdoor activities.
Quiana is one of the agency’s amazing Customer Service Representatives. She began her work here as the office receptionist and moved into the role of insurance agent. Some of her favorite activities to do outside of work are couponing, cooking and baking. Although she had never pictured herself as an insurance agent, when the opportunity arose she grabbed it and loves her decision. This year marks her 16th year with Agency! She considers herself a “lifer” of the John E. Peakes Insurance Agency and we feel lucky to have such a talented agent.
Brian joined the John E. Peakes Insurance team in 2018 as a personal lines agent. In May of 2019 he transitioned from personal lines to the Commercial department as a Customer Service Representative and Commercial Producer. Brian enjoys golfing, finishing and camping with his wife and two daughters.
Brandi is not only an amazing person but she is an amazing insurance agent and manager. Her charm and wonderful personality make it easy to work and talk insurance. Brandi started at the Lancaster agency in August of 2001 as a Customer Service Representative. She was then moved to Agency Trainer and is now our Lancaster Branch Manager. She has really shown hard work and dedication to this agency and the customers she is continuously helping. One of her favorite things to do is go on family outings with her two sons and husband. She especially loves it when they take out their motor home for their trips. She loves couponing to save money and has said she will give couponing tips to the agency so we can save too! Her ability to save money on her family makes her an expert at saving customers money on their insurance needs.
Vannesa has been a part of the team, in the Lancaster location, since January 2010. She started as the office receptionist and was promoted to a licensed agent in 2012. Her fun personality makes it easy for clients to interact with her and feel at ease when dealing with insurance. She is married and has three daughters, Jordan, Chloe and Taylor. They love playing dollies, singing loudly and dancing!
Talia started with John E. Peakes Ins Agency at our Lancaster location in 2005. She began as the receptionist and was then promoted and now serves as one of our wonderful customer service reps. Since becoming a Licensed Agent, she has obtained her CISR Designation and continues to educate herself with new knowledge every day. In her spare time, she loves being at home with her husband and her fur babies Cash and Molly. When she’s not at work or home, she loves to travel and see new places. Talia first moved to the Antelope Valley in 1987 from Torrance, Ca and has been here ever since. Other than being a licensed Insurance agent, Talia also has her license in Cosmetology.
My name is Valeria Aguilar, although I have only been with Peakes Insurance since November of 2017 as a receptionist I am thrilled to be part of the team! I am excited to learn all that there is to learn here! I love going out to the LA area and going out to eat. I very much enjoy shopping and spending time with my family and my boyfriend. I am a firm believer in the saying “be the change you wish to see in the world” and so I try my best to be a positive and uplifting person to be around!
